In mid-January, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 5th and 6th-year Building Sciences students from KOBArT HT2O.
As we expect to see these young people in the world of construction and architecture in the near future, we felt it was valuable to show them not only heritage but also the daily practice of an architectural firm.
In addition to the heritage tour, the students were therefore given an exclusive look inside the offices of Architects In Motion.
During the visit, they also became acquainted with the residence of Jozef Schellekens and the studio home of Carli Vanhout, two striking examples of architecture from different generations. The solar house in the garden was also visited, where heritage, experimentation, and contemporary issues converge.
Furthermore, the students were assigned to take photographs during the tour and to reflect briefly on what stayed with them, what they noticed, and what particularly interested them.
You can view their assignments at the bottom of this page. They contain a few factual inaccuracies here and there, but we are happy to include those as part of their learning process.
