The Prix De Rome

In 1966, Paul Schellekens won the ‘Prix de Rome for Architecture’ with his design for the SHAPE site in Casteau (Hainaut). Exactly 30 years earlier, his father had earned third place for this prize.

After graduating in 1965, Paul Schellekens began his architecture career at the Carli Vanhout atelier, where he had already worked as a draftsman during the summer months.
